One Word, MACADELIC

 By Wayne Lee
Pittsburgh has been on it when it comes to their rappers, with Wiz just recently dropping his mixtape "Taylor Allderdice" , Mac Miller has added a little more gas to the flame with his new mixtape Macadelic, following his debut album "Blue Side Park". Mac brings the features on this mixtape with rappers such as Kendrick Lamar, Casey Veggies, Sr Michael Rocks, and a feature I never saw coming, Weezy F Baby, Lil Wayne. Seems like the soul of late great rapper Big L took over Mac Miller's body on this one as he raps with his classic flow and sly punch lines. Mac really puts the point across that you don't need to sign to a major label to be successful, he even says on the track Desperado "Wanna number one independent album? I'm your man". Mac has not only labeled himself but has proven it through mixtape downloads and album sales that he is the best rapper to have never signed to a major label. This gives hope to all Indie and up and coming artists. I mean, how many people do you know that aren't signed to a major label that has a song with Lil Wayne. That's an accolade  in itself. I've followed Mac's career ever since I was on a hip-hop website and saw the video to his track "Kool-Aid and Frozen Pizza" and I knew that he was going to be big one day just after hearing the opening lines "Kool-Aid and frozen pizza, It's a work of art, I ain't talking Mona Lisa". After watching the video I searched for the link to his mixtape K.I.D.S. as fast as I could, sat down and took in a breath of fresh air from this Pittsburgh Steeler. K.I.D.S. had every kid in the world saying they were Kickin' Incredibly Dope Sh*t and holding up their thumbs. 7 months later Mac dropped  "Best Day Ever" with the only feature being Taylor Gang boss and former school mate Wiz Khalifa. Many songs on this tape were great but nothing got him more attention than "Donald Trump", even billionaire Donald Trump himself has said he liked the song. Mac proved he is here to stay with that record. With Mac only being under 21, he's worked with numerous legends such as Bun-B and Raekwon, dropped multiple mixtapes, made a classic album and has made his acting debut on the VH1 show "Single Ladies" these acts alone should give you the speculation that Mac is here to stay. Check out the site and stay tuned for more Mac Miller.
