The Real Marvel Civil War

 By Charleco Scipio

It's 2012. The Avengers just devastated the box office and their friend The Amazing Spider-man is due to do the same next month. But despite the name Marvel they have nothing in common when it comes to the big screen. Ultimately, the Marvel movie scene is divided. At Fox we have the X-Men and the Fantastic Four. At Sony we have the first decade Spider-man and the new decade, Amazing Spider-man. And finally, at Marvel Entertainment, we have the Avengers.

So what's the problem? Well, any true fan knows that most of the Marvel heroes mentioned above have came in contact with each other in the comics. Wolverine has crossed paths with Hulk. Fantastic Four and the Avengers share villians. And Spider-man has connects with the Avengers. Unfortunately the big screen may never see this due to licsenceing argreements, contracts and what not. Yes, bs.

To be honest the industry is missing out on crazy money. Coming to some type of agreement on the big screen characters will provide a wider variety of story lines which then provides for more intriguing movies that will then make tons of money. It will have Marvel fanatics dying to go to the movies.

Also, I must say, I dont understand why Chris Evans has played both the role of Captain America and The Human Torch. I suppose it is because of the different production companies. In my opinion he played The Human Torch better. Captain America didn't really fit him. But it seems that the Fantastic Four are done and over with on the big screen so Evans will have to shape up a bit more for the Captain role.

Marvel's Avengers Review

By Charleco Scipio
Assemble.
Marvel kept fans waiting and yesterday they did not disappoint. Marvel's Avengers is currently blowing up at the box office and it should. This movie packs action from the jump, which I loved. It had just about every scene a true Marvel fan has been waiting to see on the big screen, from Captain America v. Thor v. Iron Man, to Thor v. Hulk. But these aren't the only Avengers that Marvel has made bad ass, Hawkeye makes his debut in the film and he successfully stunts.
Loki - Tom Hiddleston

Hands down, the acting is phenomenal. Chris Evans continues to play scrupulous Captain America, who is struggling to adjust to the modern world while at the same time is clashing with Tony Stark's big ego. As for Tony Stark, well Robert Downey Jr., he has made the role of Iron Man, and in the movie Stark's meets his mental match with Bruce Banner and they suspect that S.H.I.E.L.D. is up to something. The film sees a switch in the actor that plays the Hulk. In the recent Hulk film, Bruce Banner was played by actor Edward Norton but since negotiations with Marvel Studios did not work out he was replaced with actor Mark Ruffalo, who plays the part exceptionally. Hawkeye, played by Jeremy Renner, simply kicks ass in this movie, Renner is the best person for the role. Thor, Chris Hemsworth, is the point man on intelligence on his brother Loki and he manages to try and show the Hulk who's stronger. The acting is wonderful.

The film also stars some other well known actors and actresses. Scarlett Johansson puts the sexy aspect into the film. Also How I Met Your Mother fans are going to be pleased to see Cobie Smulders as Agent Maria Hill, a nice little surprise. And of course there is Samuel L. Jackson who managed to play S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Nick Fury in every Marvel film leading up to The Avengers. And as in any good Marvel movie there is a little sneak peak at the end. I definitely will be at the theaters for the next one. Marvel is stepping their game up.
